Founder’s Ride

The thrill of the Open Road

Celebration of Freedom
To celebrate its 115th anniversary, Harley-Davidson led an effort to rally riders from all walks of life to take part in the Milwaukee celebrations. Four convoys, from each corner of the US, rolled into Milwaukee, picking up riders along the way. We helped design the logo and branding efforts.

Building Bridges
We came up with an emblem to rally under. The perched Eagle acts as a watchful presence for our riders and a constant reminder to always stay "Shiny Side Up".

Many Journeys, One Destination
To celebrate the diversity of riders and the terrain they conquered, the four maps showcased the unique features of each route. From the marshy wildlands of Florida to the mountainous passes of the West, the riders effortlessly rode pass all manner of roads and obstacles.

Layering on Traditions
We also used old newspaper articles, advertising, and various ephemera dug up from the Harley-Davidson Archives as background texture throughout the website. It helped give visual interest and also showcased the evolution of the brand throughout its storied 115th-year history.
