Go RV-ing

Re-igniting the nostalgia of Adventure

Re-capturing the feeling of Adventure
Inspired by the recent surge in interest in the #Vanlife scene, Go RVing sought to attract a new wave of new RVing enthusiasts who were interested in the lifestyle but didn’t know where to start.

Rving can seem to be a niche and somewhat more technical hobby, we wanted to break down the hurdles that stopped them from simply experiencing the adventure themselves. Because research showed that once a user goes on a road trip on a RV, chances of purchasing one increases significantly.

Understanding our Adventurers
A majority of our target audience skewed younger, so we focused on our efforts online to promote rentals so that we could overcome the initial sense of inertia when it came to purchasing a RV.

They could also be grouped into a handful of types of adventurers, the weekender, the millennial, younger families, and someone who vacations with their pets. So the website was designed to curate a unique adventure for each persona.

Building a more inclusive community
We also expanded the idea of an adventure beyond the usual rugged definition of the word, instead highlighting events and experiences which had a broader sense of appeal.

We also extended this idea to the design elements we used on the website. A more inviting palette and brighter, more saturated colours were chosen to compliment the greens and the yellows. Handwritten elements, Old school park Badges, and a more “collage-y” approach to website design helped evoke a more analogue and romanticized idea of the Roadtrip.
